With me, you get what you get. I’m fun, compassionate, loyal, and direct. I’ll call you to the carpet while holding your hand. Therapy is hard, there is no way around it. But on the other side is a genuine, authentic, free life that everyone deserves to experience.

I’m motivated by curiosity and have a desire to constantly evolve. I love to laugh and find a whole lot of healing through humor. In my spare time, you’ll find me enjoying all the grandma hobbies (reading, baking, sewing) or outside soaking up the sun.

It’s my mission in life to leave the world better than what I found it. I don’t claim to be perfect; I’m far from it. If you sit with me, you will hear me say, “We are all just trying to figure it out.” If you’re willing to trust me, I’m ready to help.

Kris Badra, LPC, CAADC

The biggest joy in my life is spending time with my 2 yr old granddaughter. I’m fiercely protective of the planet (please don’t litter), and I love to travel, having been to 46 states, and 4 continents. I’m easygoing, introverted, and pretty transparent… what you see is what you get. I’m patient with others and working on being a little more patient with myself.

I’m deeply motivated by people who want change. I love hearing the real narrative of people’s lives, with all of the joys and sorrows that go with it. Helping clients figure out what they want from life, and how to take steps to achieve that is my goal as a therapist.

Loss has shaped me in profound ways and taught me that loving deeply, even when it hurts, is worth it. Because of that, I don’t shy away from grief, anger, depression, or the complicated parts of being human.

In the room with me, you’ll find genuine care and steadiness. There’s space for tears and laughter, joy and despair. You can say the hard things. You can be messy. I’ll meet you there – fully present and willing to join you on your journey.

Lisa Block, LMSW

I’m someone who truly loves to laugh and believes humor can be an important part of healing and perspective. I’m also a lifelong learner and a big book lover, especially stories like Anne of Green Gables that remind us life is full of fresh starts and unexpected beauty. It means a lot to me that the people I work with feel comfortable being themselves, talking honestly about life, and knowing they’re sitting with a real person who cares. Therapy works best when there’s a sense of connection, safety, and even a little humor along the way.

It is important to me to bring warmth and curiosity into the counseling room. I genuinely enjoy laughing with my clients and exploring situations from a variety of perspectives, helping people find new ways of understanding their stories and the possibilities ahead. At the center of my work is what matters most to me: investing in people so they can grow, heal, and go on to make a meaningful impact in their world.

If you enjoy connection and growth with a healthy dose of humor about life, we’re going to accomplish great things!

“Tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it yet.” Anne Shirley

Rhiannon Bower, LLMSW

I’m the kind of person who has a dozen unfinished art projects at any given time, who deeply cherishes “horizontal time” for self-care at the end of a long day, and who values authenticity more than anything. I show up best in my baggiest sweater and a pair of slippers, playing with fidgets, or walking around outside in the sun while we talk. Meeting with me feels like chatting with a close friend who has some extra tools in her back pocket to help you get through the tough times. I’m not interested in being a polished therapist, I’m interested in being a real one. With me you can show up exactly as you are, pajamas and all, and I’ll meet you there as a calm, grounded person to walk through the hard stuff with. Bonus if you want to do crafts while we chat so I can add to my unfinished collection!

Carrisma Jackson, LLPC

If you are someone that wants to find a little magic in every day, I am here to help you make it happen. I am a therapist that believes in acknowledging both the beauty and pain of life, and strives to walk through it with my clients hand in hand. While no world will ever be perfect, I help my clients find the parts inside and around them that can help to make it better than before.

I have both personal and therapeutic experiences with topics of disability and chronic illness, LGBTQIA+ experiences, polyamory, depression and anxiety, and childhood trauma. I have also done work with, individuals near the end of life, grief and loss, relationship struggles, and recovery from substance use. No matter what it is you bring to my office, I am passionate about meeting you there and finding ways to navigate together.

I am an artist in a number of mediums, and will happily bring that creativity into the therapeutic space if my client is interested. I am a lover of nature, literature, games, and a good many nerdtastic topics. I also believe in the power of community and collaboration. I am ready to laugh, cry, and learn with my clients. If an affirming, empathic ear that will also help you to push yourself is the kind of therapist you are looking for, I am excited to explore the therapeutic journey together.

Steph Brown-Boyer, LMSW

I am someone who loves spending time with my fur babies and taking walks outside. I’m a person who values supporting people as they advocate for their needs and find their voice. I carry a strong desire to help and uplift others in my community, especially those who feel unseen or unsupported.

I am an individual who once feared letting others down and learned how easily people-pleasing can manifest. I’m inspired daily by the compassion and resilience I see in others, and I notice how hard it can be for people to move through traumatic experiences. I am a person who often uses humor to cope and connect during times of struggle.

I am happiest when people feel adequately supported, and am deeply impacted when I see a lack of compassion in the world. I wish to provide a safe, affirming space where others can grow, heal, and feel valued. I believe that every individual matters and diversity is essential to our world. I am someone who would sacrifice my own comfort to support someone in need, and look forward to being continually inspired by the growth, strength, and progress of the clients I’m honored to work with.

Christina Byrd, LLMSW

Loves to travel, try new foods, and go on adventures. Driven by a love for people and compassion. I am happiest when I am with the people I love.

I believe that people are unique, layered, complex-that multiple things can be true at once. I am inspired by witnessing people accomplishing and making progress towards their goals. The space I aim to create is a safe place to release, to discover and to heal. I don’t believe in right answers, every journey is personal.

I am a human being who is solar powered and loves being outside.I enjoy plants, both outside and inside, and feel soothed by the slow calmness of growing plants (as someone not naturally slow or calm). Outside of the office, you might find me playing with my kids and dog, going for a run, reading a book, or playing soccer with friends. I also enjoy creating, crafting, and new ideas!

I believe that we get back what we put out into the world and if we create a strong and positive foundation within ourselves, that is what the world will receive from us. As a caregiver and helper of others, this concept is a work in progress for me too, to remember when to focus on me rather than what everyone else is doing! I strive for our sessions to include exploration, collaboration, and humor when needed. Here to meet you where you’re at in your journey.

Katie Cherry, LMSW

You’re exhausted from trying to hold it all together and be everything for everyone. You know you should consider your own needs, but somehow you always get pushed to the back burner. I’ve been there, and you’re in the right place. Together we can figure out how to manage the stress, decrease anxiety, cut down on overthinking, and strengthen your sense of who you really are.

I use a laid back, conversational approach to therapy. I can also be direct in helping identify opportunities for change and challenging you to move forward. I aim to offer a supportive environment while uncovering practical tools to help you feel more in control of your life. I also like to create a space where healing can be accompanied by laughter.

If you caught me on the weekend you would likely find me at a kids sports event, attending a concert, watching a movie with my family, or out at book club with a slight chance I have not finished the book.

If you know that what you’re currently doing isn’t working and you’re ready to try something new, I’m here to support you and would love to help you on this journey.

Chris Cummins, LLMSW Outpatient Therapist

I’m a direct, curious, and humorous therapist who loves helping people make sense of the patterns running their lives. Sessions with me feel free-flowing and conversational, where we dive into understanding your experiences, diagnoses, and patterns, but also leave room for practical skills, tools, and light-hearted moments. I get excited about those “aha” moments and love using humor, analogies, and realistic examples to help you see things in new ways.

I’m drawn to working with people navigating trauma, anxiety, relationship struggles, or just feeling stuck. I meet clients where they are, always curious about your perspective, validating your experiences, and gently challenging you when needed. Therapy with me is collaborative, flexible, and non-judgmental…a space to explore, understand, and grow at your own pace.

We’ll talk about the things that matter to you, even if they’re jarring, because real-life conversations create real-life change. My goal is for you to leave sessions feeling seen, heard, and equipped with clarity, understanding, skills, and hope to navigate day-to-day challenges.

Carolyn Engel, LMSW, CAADC

Life isn’t black or white; it’s mostly a series of complicated grays that make you go, “woof.” If it were that simple, we’d all be zebras. I truly believe that, at our core, we’re all just out here winging it, and I lean into that right alongside you. You don’t have to have it all figured out to start figuring it out.

My approach is rooted in curiosity, not judgment. Together, we’ll make sense of the chaos, whether that’s untangling thoughts, renovating outdated core beliefs, juggling competing demands, or simply having a space to think out loud.

Therapy with me is collaborative, grounded, and real. We’ll build mental bandwidth, live with purpose on purpose (without taking life too seriously), and find ways forward that actually fit your life. Because truly…everything is figureoutable.

Outside of work, I’m a boy mom of two. One human, the other fluffy and fiercely protects the house, especially when Amazon packages arrive. And if you ask about my background, I’ll tell you I’m Egyptian-think hot sun, pyramids, and desert-yet somehow born in Fargo, North Dakota…which might explain why I’m pretty comfortable sitting in life’s gray areas.

Lori Fletcher, LLMSW

She’s an observant soul with a soft spot for truth-the gentle, healing kind-and a deep belief that compassion makes honesty land better. She notices everything: shifting moods, subtle glances, the way the air smells before it rains. When in doubt, she heads outside. Trees, water, open sky. Nature is her reset button.

She’s wired to support others and comes alive watching people grow into themselves. Nothing makes her happier than seeing someone beam with pride over how far they’ve come. To her, success isn’t flashy. It’s knowing she made a positive difference and can still feel calm and aligned within herself at the end of the day.

She hopes to be known as the person who shows up when things are messy, the steady presence at someone’s worst. She’s currently aspiring to roll out her yoga mat more often and rekindle her relationship with art (her supplies are patiently waiting).

Endearingly, she has one mysterious flaw: she puts random things in random places and later discovers them like baffling little plot twists. Compassionate, grounded, slightly chaotic-and always growing.

Mina French, LLPC

I feel most grounded near the water, where the warmth of the sun settles into my skin and the steady rhythm of the waves reminds me that change is natural. The water teaches me patience-how tides move in and out, how nothing stays fixed forever. I carry that perspective into my work, trusting that even when progress feels slow, something meaningful is still unfolding. I believe in “glimmers,”-tiny sparks of goodness that interrupt hard days and remind us we are safe, connected, and alive.

I believe in the quiet courage it takes to keep going, especially on the days when it feels hardest. I am continually inspired by the people I work with and hold a deep faith in their resilience and capacity for growth. Hope lives in the small things-the way your voice steadies, the way you show up again, the way you allow yourself to consider a new perspective. I notice those moments-the subtle shifts, the flickers of strength-and I make sure you notice them too. While water calms me, I’ll probably arrive with a cup of coffee in hand…I drink more of it than I should, though I’m working on it. Growth, after all, is a lifelong practice.

Taylor Harris, LLMSW

I’m a 90’s kid at heart who still debates whether to watch The Wild Thornberrys or Jurassic Park. When I’m not plotting how to become a civil rights attorney, you can find me losing (gracefully) at Skip-Bo with my family, or binge-watching true crime documentaries while pretending I’m not slightly afraid of clowns… and small spaces.

I’m happiest surrounded by my 48 plants, DIY’ing something questionable, or people-watching like a pro, because I notice everything (mostly). Driven by the desire to be a role model for kids who share my background, I try to live by the “it is what it is” philosophy and say “sorry” more than is probably necessary.

One day, I hope to cruise to Alaska (and maybe finally live out my fantasy of having started my career on a cruise ship). Until then, I give my most realistic opinions, the shirt off my back when I can, and firmly believe that the struggles we face are just chapters in a story that gets better. Fun fact: I set five alarms daily to make sure I’m on time, but on days off, I’m up before the sun… obviously I have a problem.

Casey Haveman, LLPC

If I had to give you three words to describe myself, they would be cozy, bookworm, and plant-parent. So, always down to work on an art project or play a game while we chat. I find drive in life by creating new things and new connections, whether that’s food, crochet, or reading a new book; I’m down to talk recommendations.

Some of my favorite things to say in therapy are: “You’re not crazy,” and “Wacky solutions are valid solutions.” Therapy with me involves a lot of out-of-the-box thinking and validation of your experiences.

Therapy can be hard; no human is perfect, but I strive to open this environment to real, raw feelings (the good and the bad) so that you can work towards your goals and healing. We as humans should never have to walk this road alone.

Anne Hensley, LLMSW

The universe is inherently creative, and so are we. I am endlessly fascinated by people and how we make meaning of the world, which has made me an avid reader, devoted show and movie watcher, and obsessed people watcher. Loving people leads me to collaboration in work, art, mutual aid, community building, and making change. Whatever we’re doing, I hope it’s together. We are social beings and we need each other.

Identity, mortality, and relationships are the essential work of being human, and they’re often the source of our suffering. I became a social worker to help lessen suffering, which often requires seeing how darkness and light work together to create change. We need dawn and dusk, starlight and eclipses. I can be a bit of an oddball, a cockeyed optimist with a dark sense of humor, but I think this keeps me open to possibility. If you’re looking for support for developing your relationships to yourself, others, or the universe, I’m here with curiosity and compassion for creative collaboration.

Keith Hewitt, LPC

Maybe you’re here to make sense of the divorce. Maybe you need to hear someone tell you that parenting sucks sometimes. Maybe you want to explore your sexual values because Purity Culture screwed you up. One minute we’re sharing raccoon memes, talking comic books, and the next we’re crying about the breakup. We’ll go down ADHD tangents, compare favorite Bob Dylan songs, laugh at the ridiculous profiles you find on dating apps. Look for a new perspective. Learn skills. Find purpose. Draw. Write haikus. Maybe play guitar. There could be donuts. And – God forbid – there’s always Uno.

Depressed? Stressed? Questioning everything you thought you knew? We’re not meant to do this alone. And I’d love to walk with you. Trauma, neurodivergence, spirituality, sexuality – not afraid to go there.

There might be CBT. DBT. Mindfulness. Connecting with our bodies. Creating. Silence. Sometimes it happens fast. Other times it goes really slow. Your story matters, and I want to help you step into your power.

Amanda Jones

I show up in therapy the same way I show up in life- real, compassionate, and flexible. I believe healing doesn’t happen in a one-size-fits-all space. Some days you may need practical tools and direction; other days you may just need someone steady and present. I adapt to what you need while helping you better understand your experiences and build skills that actually fit your life. With a background in psychiatric settings, I’m comfortable sitting with big emotions and difficult stories. You don’t have to filter yourself here. My goal is to create a space that feels safe, honest, and empowering… where growth can happen at your pace.

Melissa LaCharite, LPC

When I’m not at work you’d probably find me in the garden cutting flowers, pulling (and cussing at) weeds, or harvesting my veggies. My nail gal will tell you that although I try to take care of my nails, they’ve usually got some dirt under there somewhere. I prefer to be in nature when I can and enjoy hiking, but no more than a few miles.

The best compliment I ever got was when someone called me a kindred spirit. I enjoy finding ways to play, have fun, and decompress with my clients- no matter the age!! I love the idea of order and my partner and I have high hopes for keeping my closet organized someday! I’m not perfect but I try to look for balance where I can.

I’m a new mom, but I’m not new to “mothering.” Parenting is a life-long journey that we pick up nuggets of wisdom throughout life. I’m not always here to tell you you’re doing it right or wrong, cause I don’t believe in that dichotomy! You’ll love, fight, parent, and fall apart the way you need to. It may not feel good, but that process is important for growth. If you’re cool with getting your hands emotionally dirty, I’d be so honored to sit and reflect with you on that.

T. Amos Laser, LLPC

I have yet to observe, either through reading biographies/autobiographies, word of mouth, or life experiences, that people intentionally strive to be super villains. If this is true, then everything we, our partners, our children, Karen at work, or anyone else does has good intentions behind them. I desire to help discover the purpose behind our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and learn how to execute our ‘good intentions’ in a way that benefits self and others.

To uncover these mysteries, I will quote Albus Dumbledore, Socrates, Jesus, Aesop, and Dante to normalize our difficulties, reframe thoughts, challenge misinterpretations, and spark motivation for better living. I understand, and presuppose that everyone else, needs ‘Heroes’ to model behaviors and encourage us to strive for goals we do not see as possible. This is relevant to work, romantic relationships, parenthood, school, and any other meaningful task we take on. Let’s examine the world and discover what ‘Heroes’ have “been there and done that” and mirror successful behaviors! I can comfortably promise clients they will be physically safe, but I cannot promise anyone that they will be emotionally comfortable. Adaptation and growth only come through a challenge, and I promise to love clients enough to uncomfortably challenge them into healthier, happier living.

If one can comfortably dwell in the love child of a cigar lounge, library, and living room (my office), get the “hard questions” asked to them, accept love through challenging and support simultaneously, then my door is opened to you!

Jessica Like, LMSW

I’m a straight shooter with a soft spot for the messy, complicated, “no one’s ever helped me” patients. I’ll tell you what I see, sometimes cuss, sometimes speak fast when I get excited, and always do it with care, humor, and a dash of sass. Sitting with me feels real, safe, grounded, sometimes funny, sometimes intense…but always respectful.

I love unpacking patterns, dismantling the stories that have been running your life, and helping you see yourself clearly. I use analogies, research, and a little chaos to make sense of the mess. I’m not everyone’s cup of tea and that’s okay. I don’t like all teas either, but I promise to be a loyal ally, a fighter for you, and someone unafraid to tackle the tricky, messy, important stuff: religion, politics, sex positivity, because it matters to address the real world you live in.

“Be who you needed when you were younger,” is my north star. That’s how I show up every session; protective, honest, and fully in your corner. And if we click, I hope you leave feeling seen, understood, and maybe even a little lighter than when you walked in.

Pam Marx, LPC, LMFT, RN

I am soft, rational and emotional. I have learned that life is a balancing act and sometimes it may feel like everything you are trying to balance is falling on your head. Finding solutions and walking alongside you to help you sort out the good, bad, and the scary is something I love to do.

My goal is to hold space for you to feel safe, heard, and less alone. You are the expert of your own history and I’d like to help you make sense of it or offer new perspectives.

I think one of my strengths is to see the big picture and approach everything with curiosity. I use my nursing background and other professional experiences to guide my practice. My grandsons keep me up to date with what’s going on in the world and are my go-to IT specialists. I love to read, knit (when I have time), be outside, enjoy the silence, and hang out with my grandsons. I have learned a lot through the ages and use it to help me understand the tough spots in life.

Jenny Miller, LMSW

Hi! I’m Jenny Miller- a wife, dog mom, step-mom, and auntie. I enjoy outdoor activities like kayaking, horseback riding, camping, golf, and hiking. Animals, especially cows, amuse me. Friends see me as sarcastic, playful, and funny. As a cheerleader in a former life, you can find me supporting family and friends at their extracurricular events. My ideal day involves live music, snuggles with my dog, ice cream, a sunset, and a rip-roaring bonfire. I’m guilty of dancing in my kitchen, singing made-up songs to my dogs, and blasting 90s/2000sHip Hop to complete any household chore. Pet peeves: rude people, bad drivers, and radio static. Life Goals: 1. Overcome fear of flying. 2. Travel to Ireland and Scotland. 3. Ride on a Zamboni. During our sessions, you can expect me to lose at UNO, create almost any cow-themed craft, and keep a fidget handy while we talk. I may not have all the answers to life’s challenges, but I’m here to support you with guidance, transparency, and encouragement as you pursue what matters most.

Melissa Pachota, LLMSW

I am an individual who loves Indian food, coffee, stretching my body and breathing. Sometimes I like to dance, sometimes I like to nap. A good book is never far from my hand, a story to get lost in for a bit. I have a soft spot for bright colors and warmth.

I love having the ability to give my clients a space where you can fall apart without the rush to fix the problem. It’s a beautiful, indescribable experience and I am grateful I get to share it with others. To be really seen, heard, understood, and valued is the greatest gift I could bestow upon my clients. My personal philosophy in life is to go with the river, not against the current. Your intuition is your strongest ally. I’m also a firm believer in choosing your hard. I am always inspired by you, my clients, who have the courage to come to me and want to engage in the highest form of self-care. Always be kind to yourself.

Nicole Pominville, LPC

I’ve always believed in the power of human connection and that feeling truly seen is where healing begins. Authenticity and empathy aren’t just values I talk about; they’re how I move through life too, even on the days I’m still working on silencing my inner critic.

Outside of the office, you’ll find me with my hands in the garden, lost in a book, binging reality TV, or soaking up time with the people I love most. I run on Diet Coke, endlessly chasing balance, and have a standing date with every future Taylor Swift tour.

I’m driven by my family and inspired daily by the strong, courageous, kind women in my life and I try to bring that same energy into my work. My whole, real, imperfect self shows up in every session. I’ll meet you where you’re at with genuine care, an open heart, and compassion.

Joacheim "Joey" Price, LLMSW

When I’m not in therapist mode, you’ll likely find me doing something that feeds my curiosity or creativity. Cooking, caring for my growing collection of plants, organizing (yes, I genuinely enjoy it), or getting lost in coloring, painting, or building LEGO sets. I love sports, appreciate a good car, and can happily spend time outside soaking up nature. My perfect unwinding time often includes watching cartoons and listening to a playlist full of old-school R&B and blues.

I’m also human in ways many people can relate to. I’m an occasional overthinker, I’ve definitely walked into a room and forgotten why I went there, and I have my moments of insecurity. I value authenticity, transparency, independence, and people who are unapologetically themselves. Those values guide how I show up in my work.

As a therapist, I aim to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are. No judgment, no shame—just a supportive environment where you can be heard and understood. I believe many people are more capable and worthy than they give themselves credit for. Sometimes all we need is the right space, the right support, and a little encouragement to help us reconnect with our strength and believe in ourselves again.

Nicole Simpson, LMSW, PMH-C

My favorite place to be is camping with my wild pack of children who can argue just as well in nature as they can at home. I feel a sense of excitement and renewal when I encounter the Great Lakes or a powerful river. I’m a firm believer in trusting your intuition.

As a kid, I picked zero as my favorite number because everyone else seemed to forget it. I’m forever an ally, committed to love my neighbors who have been systematically oppressed. I’m professional without being too formal so we can both feel safe to be authentic. I value our shared humanity, but don’t want to miss what makes you different.

I’m a Hufflepuff at heart- down to earth, kind, and hard working. The punk rock and emo music I grew up on fostered grit, spunk, and emotional depth. I’m not bothered by foul language or if your kids need your attention during the session. Silence, tears, anger, and laughter- all are welcome. I won’t blink an eye if you decide you feel safe enough to let me see the beauty and pain you have been carrying. Together we can access your innate capacity for healing.

Tara Slone, LMSW

Hi there! I am definitely a person who values quality time. I love spending time with those I love! When I’m not cooking up something delicious in the kitchen or getting lost in a great read, you’ll probably find me outside chasing fresh air and sunshine.

I’m always up for an adventure, especially if it involves water. Lakes, beaches, rivers… if it sparkles, I’m there! I’m not afraid of much in life, so bring on the challenges! I love to try new things, especially with my favorite people!

I believe people do the best they can when they can. What you will find with me is a safe place to work on your personal growth. I am open and honest and lead with compassion and understanding, but will also hold you accountable and keep you motivated to keep working on your goals!

Logan Stout, LMSW

I’m often hyper focusing on a new hobby that I might keep forever or discard in a month, mentally planning the hundred-acre property of my dreams, and reading finance books for fun (yes, on purpose). I’m driven by a deep belief that people are capable of far more than they give themselves credit for and a strong desire to help them see it.

What you’ll find working with me isn’t someone with a perfectly balanced life or solutions for everything, but someone actively working toward one. I love my family, the outdoors, and a good problem to solve whether that’s a real life math problem or what’s keeping you feeling stuck. I’m goal oriented, but it comes from a creative place. I get an idea, I get invested, and I don’t let go until I see it through. I hope to bring that same energy and curiosity to the work we do together. I believe in balance, community, and the quiet power of knowing what you value and building a life that reflects it. I’ll meet you with curiosity, humility, and no judgment. If you ever want to ask me what my newest hobby is, I’ll always have an answer.

Shana Stout, LPC, PMH-C

Guilty of leaving cabinet doors open, workouts perpetually pending, and determined to befriend an otter at some point. Driven by my daughters and the desire to show them the power women hold. I believe in change and live by authenticity and graciousness.

What you’ll find in the room with you isn’t a perfect person with all the answers, but someone committed to showing up human first and I hope you’ll feel comfortable to do the same. I love hard, get curious, and genuinely believe that people are capable of the things they once thought were impossible (currently for me it’s learning to relax). I’ll show up for you the way I show up for the people I love…fully, transparently, and probably in the most comfortable clothes I own.

Mark Varney, LMSW

My path into social work began long before I earned a degree or sat with my first client. Over the last 35 years, I’ve worked in the helping professions, walking alongside people through some of life’s most painful and transformative moments. My own experiences with loss, healing, and personal struggle have shaped the way I show up for others- with steadiness, humility, and deep respect for the resilience we all carry.

I’m especially drawn to the idea of an inner healing intelligence, a quiet wisdom we each possess that helps us understand what has shaped us, release what no longer serves us, and step into more grounded and meaningful ways of living. I believe you can’t use old keys to unlock new doors, and much of my work centers around helping people discover the new possibilities already within them.

I am a highly skilled individual and relationship therapist and support others as they navigate conflict, rebuild trust, and strengthen connection. I also serve as a social work educator at Western Michigan University.

I live in Kalamazoo, Michigan, with my partner and our two dogs. I have two adult sons. My daughter, Sophie, who passed away in 2020 from DIPG, remains a guiding presence in my life and work.

Christine Walmsley,LPC

My path to becoming a therapist was shaped by both professional training and personal growth. I have come to believe deeply in the truth that “we can grow through what we go through,” especially when we’re supported along the way. That belief was strengthened through my own experience with postpartum anxiety and depression. It’s why I feel especially passionate about supporting new mothers who may be quietly carrying overwhelm or isolation.

Alongside my work as a therapist, I’m also a middle school counselor. Each day, I sit with adolescents in the middle of becoming…supporting them as they find their voice and confidence, while walking closely with the caregivers who love them. Sometimes that support includes my therapy dog, whose calming presence brings comfort to the room.

Outside of work and being a mom, I’m a hobby florist, I love designing floral arrangements and growing new flowers. You can also find me reading, at Lake Michigan, or unwinding with reality TV. I’m a proud “arm cherry” as a faithful listener of Armchair Expert. At the heart of it all, I believe growth happens in connection, and that we truly can grow through what we go through.

Aislinn Watson, LLMSW

Thoughtful. Sensitive. Loyal. And… perpetually tired. Hi, I’m Aislinn (pronounced like Ash-ling, I know, it’s confusing). Mom of two, lover of books and chocolate, and a champion at always being able to fit one more dish in the dishwasher.

If I’ve learned anything as a therapist, it’s that life is full of seeming paradoxes. I can have a day full of pain and joy. I love my kids with all my heart, and I crave quiet time alone from them to reread Pride and Prejudice or watch The Great British Baking Show. I know that life is often overwhelming and difficult for all of us, and I believe in good days to come for each of us.

I don’t have all the answers, or a magic wand to zap away all of our suffering (trust me, I’ve looked). But I will walk through the messiness with you. I’ll help you talk it through and maybe even see it a little differently, or learn a new skill to put into practice. Every time you walk into my office, I want you to know that you matter and that you’re not alone.

Kari Wildner, LMSW APHSW-C

Inspired by the healing power of human connection, I love meeting people wherever they are in their journey. I value openness, curiosity, and authentic conversation. I can be found trying all things food related and keep my own life running with a steady stream of reminders and alarms, because even therapists need help remembering things.

I believe the most meaningful work happens when people feel safe enough to be themselves, so I aim to create a space that is warm, relaxed, and collaborative.

With nearly 15 years of clinical practice, I’ve had the privilege of supporting people through many of life’s most difficult and unexpected experiences, including grief and loss, serious illness, major transitions, and periods of intense stress. Together we’ll make sense of what you’re navigating, notice patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and build upon the strengths you already possess to create personal growth and change.

Treatment Modalities:

  • Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Humanistic Therapy and Narrative Therapy

Erik Wittrup, LMSW

I am a hobby driven imperfect father who cares greatly about working as a therapist. My hobbies include leather crafting, disc golf, fishing, and playing video games with friends and family. When I can find time to enjoy reading, especially Katherine Neville and James Redfield. My favorite chore is plowing the snow or mowing the grass and my least favorite is cleaning out the cat box. But I do wonder if anyone actually enjoys that chore.

Rainer Maria Rilke’s poem, Go to the Limits of Your Longing, still has one of my favorite quotes: Let everything happen to you: beauty and terror. Just keep going. No feeling is final. It reminds me that moments do eventually pass and that growth often follows difficult times. What I want to be known for is being there for my friends, family, and clients right alongside them when they are having a rough time. No one should ever have to feel alone when we work through problems within, or in our lives.

Taylor Young, LLMSW

If you sit in a room with me, you’ll notice pretty quickly that I’m direct. I believe therapy works best when we can name what’s actually happening, look at it together, and trust that you’re capable of more than you think you are. My style is conversational and collaborative. Therapy can be heavy, but it doesn’t have to be sterile. Sometimes a well-timed laugh makes hard things feel more survivable. I’ll validate what makes sense, gently challenge what’s keeping you stuck, and help you zoom out to see the bigger systems that shape your story. Together, we figure out what’s still serving you and what you’re ready to outgrow.

Outside the office, I’m a parent, a gym-loving caffeine addict, and a proud member of the elder emo club who still loves going to metal concerts. I share my life with two dramatic huskies. One of my favorite quotes (courtesy of How I Met Your Mother) is: “People will dance.” It’s a reminder that we spend time obsessing over the future, trying to anticipate every possible outcome, but life keeps moving. We don’t have to white-knuckle every step of the way. We just have to show up fully and unapologetically.

I want to step into the sacred space of your experience. We will look around the bookshelves of your life together, leading with a compassionate and curious eye. We will safely step into spaces of joy, passion, fear, pain, doubt, grief, and loss. They hold data we use to understand yourself and become stronger.

I am also honored to open the space to any higher power at the center of your gravitational pull. I will meet you right where you are, but we won’t stay there. By tapping into your wisdom and intuition, we will strengthen what is working for you, discover the barriers to your growth, and explore new ways to bring meaning to your life.

Using evidence-based techniques, we will discover how your thoughts, emotions, and body are orchestrating your life. We will uncover attachment wounds and acknowledge the part they play in your symphony. I will surprise you with moments of levity and irreverence using laughter to infuse light into the healing process. Together we can explore anxieties, depression, performance blocks, parenthood, relationships, loss, trauma and so much in between. My questions will engage and challenge us as we join together as co-authors on your healing journey.

Lily Collins, MSW Outpatient Intern

I come alive when I’m playing music. There’s something about rhythm and expression that makes the world quiet down in the best way. Most mornings, I’m powered almost entirely by coffee (arguably a core personality trait), and once that first sip hits, I’m ready to conquer the day! When I’m winding down, you’ll probably find me watching Shrinking, fully invested, talking to the screen like the characters can hear me, and insisting I’m “just watching one more episode.”

My favorite book is The Deepest Well by Nadine Burke Harris- a powerful reminder of how much our stories shape us and how resilient people truly are. I’m inspired by conversations that matter, moments that feel real, and the courage it takes to keep showing up.

One quote I carry with me is from Brené Brown: “One day you will tell your story of how you overcame what you went through, and it will be someone else’s survival guide.” I believe life is about making meaning, finding joy, and maybe having a second cup of coffee just in case.

You could say I am the Michael Scott of this office, but without all of the offensive jokes. I do love a good laugh, though. You’ll find me connecting with the therapists and administrative staff, planning with the practice owner, or running the behind-the-scenes to make your visit feel supportive and welcoming. I might be cracking a few jokes, too.

I’m a therapist in training, attending Western Michigan University. I’ll forever be a big believer in ‘filling buckets’ for others, a lover of cats, and the movie Ratatouille. I’ve read too many books but I’m always searching for the next one (please share your recommendations!). Comfy clothes and slippers are my go-to’s (yes, I have a pair of work slippers), Pinterest is my addiction, and I love to find all the little delights in life. Oh, and I’m probably listening to Harry Styles right now.

There are some wonderful humans here, and I truly hope that you find the right therapist for you at our practice. Meanwhile, myself and the admin team will do everything we can to help you find them with ease!

My passion is uplifting and supporting others! I am currently enrolled at Ohio University as a Master Social Work Student and will one day be a therapist and change agent for our community. You will find my mini passion projects, the resource closet and the yoga room, by the waiting area.

I am the “mom” of the office despite being one of the younger staff members. I almost always have snacks, hot coco, or stickers for anyone who wants them. You will occasionally find that I have had a mental bake down when new treats appear in the office. Outside of the office, you can find me teaching yoga, being in nature, or volunteering. I even plan my summers around the ability to travel and paddleboard.

I approach my job as an admin and yoga instructor with compassion, patience, and mindfulness. Expect to be greeted with a warm smile and support on every step of your therapeutic journey.

Caitlin Rainey

My name is Caitlin Rainey, and at 35 years old, I’ve learned that the things that truly matter to me are simple, grounding, and deeply human. I’m an outdoors enthusiast at heart and feel most alive when I’m soaking up sunshine and breathing in fresh air. Whether it’s a long walk, time spent in nature, or just sitting outside with a good book, being outdoors is where I recharge and find clarity.

If you’re looking for me indoors, chances are my nose is buried in a book, completely immersed in another world, with classical music playing through my headphones. There’s something about the combination of powerful storytelling and timeless melodies that brings me a sense of calm and inspiration.

At my core, I’m someone who finds purpose in helping others. Knowing that my actions, no matter how small, can brighten someone’s day or lighten their burdens brings me genuine joy. Acts of kindness and empathy are incredibly important to me because they create connection in a world that often feels disconnected. Supporting others not only strengthens those bonds, but also challenges me to grow, expand my perspective, and better understand the diverse experiences that shape people’s lives.
